We finally got one in and I can't seem to powershift? The shifter pulls like butter but the clutch stays disengaged until I let off the gas pedal...???

Yeah, I wasn't impressed with the new trans either. I'm waiting for dealers to get more cars to try the test drive again. Loved the 5.0, hated the trans feel.
Well then if it's so rare, then I'm sure it would be obvious who I am, no?Come on stop bashing Justin. If their was anything wrong I'm sure he would take care of it. This is the first negative statement I have ever heard about JPC.
This is not the case for me.shit happens. sometimes someone falls through the cracks.
when i lived in VA there were people who swore by MAS Racing and would not let Steen Racing change their oil. Yet the opposites true with others.
ive often found if someone has a problem with a particular shop (esp one with a solid rep like JPC) its usually the person more than the shop.

the shop guys don't seem to be having a problem with them, even getting them into 5th
The clutch/hydro system is really no different than the previous cars. There's nothing that can control when the clutch engages/disengages other than the driver. Am I reading it right that the clutch doesn't disengage until you let off the throttle? Is it possible the clutch was slipping?I could powershift with EASE, but after releasing the clutch pedal, the car would just hang on the limiter and wouldn't re-engage the clutch until I let off the gas.

if it was an issue why didnt the 10's club state anything?
nice these new 5.0s are gonna be badass I want one! I cant decide wether I want an 03-04 cobra or a new 5.0mustang more ?
maybe theyre not WOT shifting, maybe there actually lifting for a split second?

I was in the same boat.. But you have to be very hard up on wanting the Cobra to choose it over the 5.0.. I honestly don't think it's even close. 5.0 hands down. better all around car in just about every aspect..
