I managed to get 4th overall in raw times this past weekend. The significant change here is I'm not that far off the fastest time. I've had many top 10 finishes now, but typically still way back of 1st. I feel like things are starting to click now, I'm faster on my initial run and more consistent between runs. My 4 runs were (raw) 62.9 (DNF), 62.9 (clean), 62.0 (1 cone, +2 secs) and 61.4 (clean). The guy in 2nd (Jeff J.) came within 0.002 of winning AS at the SCCA Nationals a couple years ago.

These times include cones, I was clean.

nice, i have had generally the same experience with people wondering why a mustang is so fast on the course. its very rare that i get to drive by myself in the car cause so many people want to ride in it.

i finally busted the top 5 after posting a 6th, 6th, and 9th raw. i have won the street mod class the last 4 months also. still on street tires too. can't wait to get some kuhmo's or hoosiers after i wear these out. i am also going to run my 1st divisional later this month. i probably won't be even close there, but at least the i am getting closer in my region.

Very cool Vapour! Nice to represent muscle cars in a big way.

Does the blower get heat soaked during the run?

Great video.....hilarious.

Very impressive, you went up against cars that prolly thought youd be no competition when they showed up at to the lot that morning and later that night you had them ordering parts for the next event, hahah. Feels good to shatter import driving ego's.

Sooo not what autocross is about...

But nice work man, now you got to drive down to PA or MD and get some seat time with Sam!

Funny to see a Subaru Baja in 29th. Definitely not the car you would expect at autocross. It has to be a little discouraging for the guy that brought an R33 skyline. I know the guy that came to a PCA event last year in an M3 did not like getting beat by a Prius at all.

Yes, especially on a hot day but it doesn't cause any problems. In a 60 second run, I'm at WOT for about 3 seconds.

Very awesome!

Kumho V710 275/40/17 I bought them used, but they still have a lot of grip left.

Brakes are stock except for EBC yellowstuff pads.

Wow, that must be a pretty long course. The top finishers at my events are usually under 40 seconds.

Do you run classes or time multipliers?

its got a Vortech HO kit, LT headers, o/r H pipe, koni sports, Eibach pro's, strano sways, hawk hps pads, and a UMI phb. I'm running 285/35-18 hankook rs3's. i'm planning on stepping up to some kuhmo V710's next year. everything else is stock. we run on a huge concrete airfield and guys have corded hoosier A6's in 2 events :/ it's whoafully underprepped for SM

PAX is used. There are a few general classes, Stock Street Tire, Modified Street Tire, and SCCA Comp (my class) where any tire is allowed. In PAX, I finished 4th in my class (out of 13) and got 949 points. Its hard, boarding on impossible for me to win PAX because I have such a high multipler, the S2000 drivers are really good, and the course designs favour smaller cars that are better at transitions.

Same here :beerdrink: I read the class rules and we could reduce the weight of our cars to 3000 lbs.

good luck finding it when you can't take out most of the interior, sound deading, heater, etc. i never got that we can run 5 gallon fuel cells in SM but not strip the car to make minimum weight, although, i probably would never strip the car.

if i were going for PAX i'd take off the supercharger and run STU or ESP.... but i'm not cause the supercharger makes it a lot more fun!
