did you do a compression check to make sure nothing got tore up?

ok maybe it was detonation but i couldnt hear it, how bad is this? should i go ahead and start tearing down the motor? When this happened to me in my honda everything was fine.

Ok, so it is the insulator nose. This exact thing has happened to me twice while running nitrous. That ceramic piece is long gone. But if your really worried about it you could bring that cylinder up to TDC, then use a vacum cleaner with the spark plug removed. But if you already had the motor running that small piece is long gone. You could always just do a compression check on that cylinder and compare to the others. Personally I don't think anything would have happened and that you should be fine.
