do you guys know if the diablosport tuner that comes with the e-force will work in a stock 05 mustang gt? i bought one from racerman and i cant seem to upload the newer version of it nor does it have any stock tunes on it except the edelbrock one. Is this tuner ONLY compatible with the e-force supercharger?

Its probably locked with their tune in it. You would need the diablo software to probably unlock it.

doesnt seem "locked" to me. but i cant access really anything to even change my tire size to fix my speedometer. and the part number is listed as e7140 and not u7140. I mean is this thing pretty much useless to me then?

My run done at edelbrock today. Stock 2005 mustang gt 26000 miles. Stock air box, stock 5 psi pulley.

400 (399.9) sae corrected rwhp / 384 (363.7 ) sae corrected rwtq.
426.0 stp rwhp / 399.2 stp rwtq.

and mines Number 0001, so I dont think mine had any issues.
Edelbrock loaded there stock tune from the diablo as it comes in the box.
Nice numbers for 5psi. Thanks for sharing

To check to see if it's locked go to last tune written, it should say factory backup, or something similar to that. As far as being able to use it, if it is unlocked you can buy custom tunes from a vendor that uses diablo, ex bamachips, the diablo will hold up to five custom tunes. However the canned tune on the device is useless to you unless you buy an edelbrock supercharger. If you have any more questions, diablo has a forum on their website that you'll probably find really helpful. BTW I have a procharger diablo that I bought unlocked. I use bamachips tunes off of it for my N/A car. Good luck

the tuner just says original tune. But it wont let me copy it to my pc. Im just afraid to spend $100 on a custom tune for it and it not even be able to upload onto the tuner or my car.

Blah, blah, blah. What are the intake air temps and how do they compare to saleen or whipple? Putting your hand on the blower isn't an indication of anything. If I were edlebrock, I'd be asking you and Tillmanspeed to stop :handjob: to my blower. It's really getting a bit silly.

Now they aren't the boost levels that Jim was running but you can refer to the log attached to this thread to see what the IAT's are. That is an actual log from a warm pull...No voodoo ice, forced cooldown, just a fan in front of the car.

I think the jerk off comment may be a bit uncalled for, The E force kit sales are going to be a bit of an uphill battle for retailers. Simply because of one single shop that had some sort of issue that nobody has put a finger on.

Bottom line, I am impressed with the system. It does exactly as advertised. It is well thought out, simple to install and shows good potential for expandability. We picked up the line to have something to offer our customers other than our turbo systems.

Here is a sales pitch.... I have one on the shelf (1580) that is ready to ship anywhere. If anyone is interested they can have it in just a few days.......

Obviously, we can install and custom tune if the customer so desires.

I would post up on diablosport.com forums and ask them it's under the support tab. I know after a tuner has been married to a car and then unmarried it will say "original backup" for the last tune written. I don't know what it will say if it's never been married at all. They're pretty good about working with people who buy used diablos and whatnot. But I know you can't save your orignal tune to pc until you write a new tune to the car. Being that you don't have any tunes you can use in the tool, you'll have to get custom tunes in order to be able to save your factory backup. But please TALK TO DIABLO! Good Luck

Can you elaborate on what it takes to get the 3/36 warranty? Specifically:

Can I install it myself and get 3/36?

Can Edelbrock give me a 3-36 qualified tune that accommodates longtube headers (ie: no O2 check engine lights)?

If I did not have the Shaker Hood, and of course went with a Supershaker...I was impress by these kits from Ede..a few to many logo's for my taste, but it was still a nicely design system.

But as with all things on the internet, people who does not even understand how boost work jumped on the "bashwagon" because of one installer. WoW. Well you know how these things go.

I left Tillmans this afternoon and the same car that had the E-Force on it that wouldn't make power, now has a Tachco on it and made 465rwhp. I think the torque was 430. Nothing other then just swaping out the blower and the tune was done on the car. Interesting!!!!

Not what I wanted to hear.

I wanted to hear a mistake somwhere was found and that everything was OK. Now buying the E-Force is back to a roll of the dice.

It seems that the only ones making good power is the built engins.

We've still seen a couple out-of-the-box builds on here making the advertised ~400rwhp. But this hit & miss stuff doesn't inspire confidence.

Now, *cough* *cough* if Edelbrock wants to make it worth my while for me to try one on my car, I might be up for that. You know, maybe oversee things at the nearest reputable speed shop - like Dynospeed Racing - to ensure the install & stuff is right, I might be up for that. :) You know, and then post all over the internet about how great it turned out...I'd be up for that.

I don't get it, why is everyone so quick to criticize this kit. It's a first gen kit, and its delivering good numbers at low iats. It seems quite efficient. Was the first gen Whipple perfect? Not to my knowledge, as they quickly revised it.

Because most of those doing the criticizing don't run down a racetrack and dyno numbers mean more to them than getting laid.
