I want to run a drag radial on my stock 18" rim. I wanted to go with the original et street radial, but it is not offered beyond 17". So it looks like my next choice will be the et street radial II, which to me doesn't look as agressive as the original.
Anyone have experience with this tire? I plan to put that tire on and run it street and strip...meaning on a nice sunny day the car would be driven around town or wherever...and also to a couple track rentals.
I do have a blower going on really soon, so I would expect to be in the 450hp range
I have the stock 8.5" rim so the biggest size I believe I can run is 265/40/18

Here is a link to the tire on MT website http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php?item=ETStreetRadialII

This tire works well for us.

......or maybe I should say, our suspension works well for us?

We cannot get this thing to spin. We hit it with nitrous occasionally to test parts, no spinning. N/A....it doesn't get close to spinning.

I recommend them.

To add to that....

I am picking up a set of the II's for my 2004 Cobra this weekend.

I plan on getting them to hook with 800 ft lbs of torque and a built 6-speed trans. Should be fun!

I was running the street radial II's 265/40/18 and I could drop the clutch at 5000 and hook. they are the same compound as the et streets.

I set mine at 18 psi before I start my burnout, leave from an idle and see 60's in the 1.5's. I tried to leave against the convertor with the engine already in boost and spun the tires, but then I am still on stock suspension other than Sportlines.

I have them on my AM 18x10 OEM style wheels, 315/35-18. They are the same compound as the ET Street. I pulled a 1.60 60' with just lowering springs and a panhard bar to center my rear end. Stock shocks/struts, stock controls arms and all.

They wear fast on the street, I daily'd them for ~2500 miles and they are half gone.

I ran 295/45R17's for a summer and could launch at 6000 and have no bog. MY car was nearly stock, but they were sticky as hell.

I had them in size 315/30/18 on my 04 cobra a few years ago that I used for the street and they hooked great. I just bought a set of 305/35/19's and expect some good results aswell

I am going to be running the 305/35/19 ET Street II's as well. Can't wait! I have been waiting for a 19" DR that will fit on a 10" wide wheel for a while. Glad to hear the positive reviews. But I didn't doubt they'll hook. I have never seen anything from MT that didn't.

Cool, you'll love them. The tread is much more streetable looking vs the first gen M/T drag radials. The wear is the same and depending on how you drive and how often you track your car they might not last long lol
