Ohh, and the cheaper spark plugs would have been nice too, and they are much easier to gap then ours are too.

At the $10 a piece price quoted above, I don't see how that is cheaper. That is about what I can get HT0s for locally.

my question is if the head design change affects f/i applications. does this mean we have to "wait" for another blower/turbo set up to be taylored to the 08+ cars?

Yeah my 08 the production is 08/07 so maybe that is why i have the full strap guess i lucked out.

I don't know how that is "lucking out" because the full strap one is prone to breaking off in the head and causing all sorts of problems. The "new" old style spark plus is a one piece design that doesn't have [known] issues with breaking off in the head. Also, it's a more common spark plug.
