This is from a test and tune night in Muncie, Indiana. You can tell by the video pretty good head wind but temps were very good. Track conditions were very good starting the night out and went down hill very fast.

Car: 06 GT automatic, Steeda CAI, D/M tune, pulleys, delete plates, pcv kit, o/r x-pipe, alum driveshaft and radiator support. Suspension is stock, gear stock 3.31 and stock tires. Car is launched at idle and left in drive, seems to work the best.

sorry the video is not the greatest quality.

Really a sleeper on the street and track. I get alot of "oh-shit" looks from the Camaro guys... LOL

New Best.. BIG improvement in 60'

PDF of timeslips attached - The first hour at the track was sticky and as the night went on it just got plain slippery... still, it was a great nite!

New ET ( 12.302 ) beats previous 12.426

New 60' (1.798 ) beats previous 1.959

Here I beat a 6.1 Hemi truck after he holeshot me... i got a 12.319 that time.

What did I do to improve?

1- Better suspension (CJ launch springs w stock V6 struts)

2- Dyno tuned for more torque. (420 rwt from previous 381 )

3 - Launched off idle instead of dumping the clutch.

That last idea came to me from driving my '05 V6 DD which has 3.73 & some minor bolt-on stuff & VMP tune. Anyway, it launches from red lights so well without spinning. It's quick... I'm hardly ever beaten thru the first 2 gears. Well, I wanted to try imitating that technique with the Roush on the track...& it worked better than dumping the clutch for me, perhaps because I didn't let the tires slip - hardly at all anyway.

The car has the power to gain time as long as it's rolling not spinning. If I over-rev it "pops" and wastes time, but if I shift early it wastes time too. I need to improve my timing & execution of the shifts... should really break under 12 soon - it's like getting to Carnegie Hall... pactice practice practice!

next time out i am going to put the dr's on and spray 125 at 2500rpm in first. Yes i know the reactions were terrible, that had it on a pro tree and im not used to that.

I never said your car was slow :thumb: and actually i like it because it is original and i have never seen one like it.

In all seriousness though i dont have a problem with you anymore it just got way out of line. Now maybe you can tell me an honest guess at what i will be running with the 125 shot, 275/40r17 m/t et street radials and the tci 3000 stall spraying off the line? I think i will have to do some suspension work to make it work like i want it to though. Im still on all stock suspension and running a 245/40r17 so i feel lucky that i got what i did on that small of a street tire.

Next time out i will have the drag radials on and spray off the line, the da was 2700 ft on my fastest pass and corrected was to a 11.97 i think and im going to put the converter in maybe in about a month, it just too hot now to be working doing concrete forms then work on the car. I will keep it all posted on here as i progress along. I think with the drag radials in the same weather i had this sat i would only gain maybe 2 tenths and the converter i expect 3 to 4 tenths. I tried to spray it in the top of first before second hit and i just spun and went like 13.05 @ 110mph. I also want to check my tune when i get the chance because when i talked to john at bbr he said something about adding fuel to my nitrous tune but if i have a wet kit wouldn't that make it rich on and off the bottle ( on the bottle depending on pressure im sure ). Also am going to put a purge on the car so i can get the bottle pressure where i want it easier than i did this past weekend.

^ put in a stick and run 11's ;)

Matt, i almost bought a 5 speed car but i like the consistancy of the auto. I have thought about some of the weight reduction like the stuff you did in your trunk and maybe take out my 80lbs of subwoofer and amp junk. I am going to go to the pilot truck stop next time im out and weigh my car.
