So after fixing the side skirt and making the car whole and pretty again...it happened again on Sunday during the Street King event. sigh
Driver side tire once again caught the edge of the fender well and shredded itself...pretty bad this time around. Not too much damage to the body though.
But the tire itself is toast... Never realized the tread on drag radials were layers on top of layers. Like a biscuit. lol
So the verdict!!?? DO NOT GET 29" TIRES!!! They are just too damn big!!
I will get seeking out some smaller tires in the 27.6" - 27.7 range.
The only ones I have found are:
-Nitto 555R 305/40/18 (27.72")
-MT ET Street S/S 305/40/18 (27.6")
Just not sure which one would provide better traction/compound.
