compression is really low... your going to need to spin the little blower hard to get to 550hp

Yup that's why It's 500-550. I'd say I can make 510-530whp-ish on a DJ with 14-16psi or so.

oh ok, I thought you said 10 pounds of boost lol

14-16 will work champs :)

nice build, good for the bigger 2.8 or 3.4 blower later on

Yup I like the looks of the 2.8! I say my ultimate goal is 550-600whp on pump probably with some meth.
Haha ya I just put it down as the "10psi kit"

Looks good, it'll be a nice combination. As Matt said 8.7 is a bit on the low side, but with 16psi it'll wake up. Just don't expect much when not in the boost.

The only thing I think I would recommend different would be the Spec 3+ clutch. I had one for a short time, and didn't really like it. Then it failed. I'm pretty happy now with Stock GT500 twin disc clutch. It's holding very well, and is more drivable than the Spec 3+ was.

60lb injectors will big enough, and a KB dual BAP, with those pumps will supply lots of fuel for your 550 +/- rwhp goal.

Billet oil pump gears are also a nice upgrade for a little added insurance against broken pump gears.

It's fun times receiving all your goodies. It's like Christmas.

I am thinking about working something out with Eric Brooks.
Not 100% yet though. I will start planning that next spring.

+1 Spend the additional $300 on a TSS billet oil pump gear

PS: As I work for a Caterpillar dealer, the machine in the background of your pictures immediately caught my eye. Can you post or PM me with some info on it?

All I can tell you is that it is a retired bucket wheel near the Syncrude Oil Sands site in Fort McMurray AB
It is made by Krupp. And it is quite larger than your average bucket wheel. They had to retire it because it was so large it was too flexible and caused a lot of problems.

Very nice build - looking forward to seeing it running next spring. I'd recommend the Steeda 10-rib drive if you're going to 16 psi.

That machine is one of the world's largest earth remover's.....it rotate's left and right and can remove a lot of ground very rapidly....The wheel on the end just turns constantly and digs...It can be set to different depths to how much of a layer it wants to eat.....

OP: Nice build you have there...gonna be nice man!!!

Blower aside, what kind of power do you think the rest of the motor can handle? At what point could a stock valvetrain become a concern?

Also, your car just became my desktop background.

I am not exactly sure what the motor can handle I have heard over 800whp? I hear Vaughn Gitten is using it with 600whp or something?
I probably will stick with OEM if that is the case. Then I can buy local!
Haha thanks! This is my desktop background!

I'm really anxious to see what kind of numbers you pull out of the Aluminator.
