Suitable substitute for T185/55R18 space saver spare tire

........This right here. I did this myself after I installed my Power Stop 07-09 OEM GT500 replacement front 4-piston "Brembo" brake upgrade kit some time ago as I knew this negated my OEM 09 GT's 17" x 5" spare tire (won't fit over the front Brembo brake calipers). Went on the Parts Farm web...

2006 Mustang GT Manual Trans - Gears/shifting Issues

+1.................... If you want to remove all the shifter slop you can from this design of remote shifter (doesn't matter if it is the stock remote shifter or any of the aftermarket shifters.......period), you really NEED to also replace ALL of the OEM plastic bushings on the remote shifter...

    Another Electrical question

Hey Laga, couple of questions...................... 1. Did you experience any interior lights flickering while engine running? 2. What is the brand\make of the 2 DMM\VDOM you were using? From reading your posting on running the diode check, you did the procedure correctly if you had the...

What have you done to your mustang today?

After running some datalogs a couple of weeks back & noted some potential airflow restriction patterns developing in the TQ curve, I checked the K&N air filter I had installed in my 08-09 Ford OEM Bullitt CAI & found that she was pretty dirty (even w\ a dust sock covering it........installed...

    Driveshaft balancing the Ford way?

FYI....................... I took my Stang out to a specific area down in Mexico to do a datalogged 4th gear 2,500 RPM to Limiter WOT run (amounts to essentially a 40-129 MPH roll run using 4th gear only.......as 1 would do on a chassis dyno......checking for any indications of potential...

    06 Timing dropout

Since I was tagged here, this part of OP's post intuitively tells me that the next move should be to get w\ the person who tuned it to recheck the calibration (unless you actually did the tuning yourself..........which from your posting is inferring that someone else did it).......... So, if...

What have you done to your mustang today?

From what I've seen on the fluid specs for the Gertrag MT-82........I don't think you want to use any ATF\ATF additive product period as this trans uses a dual clutch type of transmission fluid........specifically the XT-11-QDC spec that Ford is using in the Motorcraft fluid spec'd for your...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Changed out TR3650 trans fluid today in my Stang (could feel the trans starting to get excessively notchy during shifts lately..........last trans fluid changeout was back in 2021 so 3 yrs......used a bottle of Lucas ATF Trans Fix along w\ 3 qts of Valvoline Mercon V ATF then.......this...

    Driveshaft balancing the Ford way?

For a live rear axle (like this Ford 8.8" SRA) you are correct............but in concert w\ a true IRS w\ a stationary differential (where I've seen these being used on the modern GM vehicles at the axle end as well) ......perfect application scenario. Thus, why IMHO Ford made a marketing...

    Driveshaft balancing the Ford way?

Well, GriffX, IMHO this is where a corporate front office\accounting can cause these kinds of decisions that engineers get blamed & take the heat for from the public............... The only thing\reason that I can think of is cost cutting. Remember, our beloved S197 Mustang's intended...

    Driveshaft balancing the Ford way?

That should also work..........if the 1\2" (the thickness of these spacers) moves the U-joint operating angle too far, you can also use some M10 x 2mm flat washers as shims to line her up to your tastes. I suggest using grade 8 flat washers (they are hard enough so won't crush when TQ'd...

    Driveshaft balancing the Ford way?

FYI for those interested.................... In the last 3 days after getting back from vacation & finishing up on drivability tuning of my FRPP Hot Rod cams (mostly dialing in & optimizing idle\off idle seamless transitioning between adaptive idle & dashpot idle routines & dashpot idle TQ...

    Volume or Pressure???

I checked on Arp’s web site today, they got every bolt, stud or fastener available for every important component in these Ford 4.6L Modular engines…….except for these chain tensioners……… So it looks like Ford is it. I wonder if the chain tensioner bolts for a 03-04 Terminator or Mach 1 4.6L are...

    Volume or Pressure???

Hey 07Boss, Am I blind or did those B1 chain tensioner bolts actually shear off leaving pieces of bolt shank still threaded in the block? I've always pondered if this type of damage would\could occur w\ these chain tensioner bolts................now I know. That's got me to thinking to get new...

    No Ground at MAF

You know................come to think of this, I'll also bet that the other blk wire IS the PCM 12v- ground wire off the board............. You may have just averted another potential issue since the other blk ground wire is also showing corrosion issues........so if I may make a...

    No Ground at MAF

Yep.......that's the alternative next step if the potential break in the harness can't be located & repaired. PS edit--The reason why this wire is grounded in the vicinity of the PCM is to reduce\prevent a ground offset since the 12v+ MAF hot wire power comes out of the PCM itself.......not...

    No Ground at MAF

That blk\wht wire is the 12v MAF hot wire ground.........it is grounded to the body at G102 thru connector C110 according to the 2005-2010 FWM wiring diagram so if I'm taking a guess, I'd check every body ground around the PCM for this blk\wht wire............or run this wire to another body...

Might be go big or go home time on my '06

FYI................. I've took a couple of pictures provided below of this CMCV RPM to Engine Load Opening Schedule that is used in a 06 MY Spanish Oaks ECU calibration file (1 on the left is the Ford OEM Schedule settings, 1 on the right is using the settings I've set for use in my '09 3V that...

What have you done to your mustang today?

FYI............................. As of this evening she's fully tuned.
