Do you have to use stage III heads or would stage II heads work fine? What kind of cams would you have to use. Probably be useless to put nsr cams, huh.

That's exactly the engine I want in my car! Well, I would like 12/1 compression too.

You could use stage 2 heads, but to get the most out of it, I wouldn't do any less than a stage 3. We'd spec a custom grind for it, the NSR's wouldn't work well.

AWESOME Setup and WOW no power adder = weird for such a BADASS Motor but ehh to each there own.

He might be doing this for road racing. Boosted engines are not as easly adaptable for road racing. Its harder to make them reliable due to the excessive heat of boost.

Will the stock hood shut? Im interested in seeing how much extra flow it will add with a blower and meth. Any results with that yet? My motor is pretty much the same as your but its a 302 stroker and stock cams.
Thanks

The stock hood will shut, the last photo I posted shows it under the factory strut tower brace, so there is more than enough clearance.

This is the first one we received, so we haven't done any testing with them yet.

Rick, how do the ports on the intake match to your stage III heads? Did you port match the intake?

On their site they advertise a 10.8/1 compression for the 323 shortblock, which would be fun if this engine is the same.

Sorry for the late reply guys, I've been slammed...

Dan

We did not port match the intake, but plan on running the stock manifold vs. the C&L out of the box for comparison.

It is 10.8:1 compression.

no upgrades needed for cooling?

verry VERRY nice :)

At this time, no... but we'll see how everything is once it gets fired up and on the dyno.
